The sound of the HD 58X Jubilee is wonderfully warm and open, with a natural and flat response that enables the music to shine through. The sound is similar to Sennheiser’s HD 600 but with a closer soundstage that’s not too wide. The bass is clean and extended but never ventures into being overblown. The upper midrange is perfectly clean thanks to the close-matched drivers and the result is a focused and smooth treble response. I loved the level of detail that these headphones can extract from the music. They’re incredibly relaxing to listen to with a superbly fresh and open feel. Please take my word on it, this last issue is so annoying that I'd buy an HD650 if the 6XX suffered from it as well. By the time you get it to how you want the 58X to sit on your head, the cups may not be perfectly symetrical with all the bending of the headband you did.
