If you have an issue with your soundbar going to sleep after a set amount of time, it’s likely due to its energy-saving settings. To prevent them from consuming unnecessary power when they’re not being used, most soundbars power down if they don’t detect an audio signal. However, some sound bars are more sensitive than others and some will power down even when there’s audio being played at a quiet volume. When using an optical cable, there’s a small chance that the Television will know to use the soundbar automatically, but it’s more likely that you’ll have to go find the Televisions speaker selection menu and change it as described above. Pairing was simple although you do need to be comfortable with your TV's settings and how to navigate them.

When connecting through ARC, your TV may automatically recognize your connection after inserting the cable. Otherwise, use the menu on your VIZIO remote and go to System > CEC, then change the setting to ‘Disabled’, ‘Enabled’, or ‘ARC only’, based on your needs. Big issue is when bass levels are low the bass box keeps switching in and out with a weird fluttering - it sounds really bad and tbh makes the sysytem pretty useless as it id supposed to improve sound.
