If you would take a look at the pictures of the boards I posted, you can clearly see this to not be the case, Sony kept changing the insides the boards, a Made in China Manfactured by "A" from 2000 are quite different from the boards of the Made in China Manufactured by "A" from 2010, it does make sense that the japanese launch controllers would have a few internal differences compared to the US launch controllers due to the difference of release dates between Japan and the US.

Cheers for now!Pressure sensitivity was used for the aiming and shooting mechanics. Press the fire button lightly to hold up the gun without firing. Let go lightly to put down the weapon without shooting. The mechanic works slightly differently sometimes depending on the weapon equipped.  The game utilizes the Xbox controller's pressure sensitive analog buttons to allow shortcuts in performing certain moves, making the controls lenient to allow players new to the series to adapt to gameplay.  Version 3.x uses custom xinput1_*.dll file. Some new games or old games after their latest updates do not permit custom xinput1_*.dll file. Therefore version 3.x doesn’t work with these games any more. To solve the problem, version 4.x was created, which doesn’t use custom xinput1_*.dll file, but creates virtual controller. Currently we are working on version 4.x update, fixing bugs and moving from Microsoft's old “Windows Forms” to latest “Windows Presentation Foundation” application interface.
