About this deal
The sound is so clear, and so involving that I think for many people, they would have to spend at least three times the money to hear a marked improvement. The cable is decent, and they look good. While I have heard about some people having issues with the fit, I didn’t have that problem. The Astrotec Vesna are a neutral bright set, easier to drive and with less bass than the E3000. Though the Vesna have less bass quantity, the bass is cleaner and tighter. The Vesna have a thinner note weight and poorer technicalities (imaging, instrument separation and soundstage).
The BLON BL-03 are a legendary budget harman-like set with great timbre. The E3000 are an all-round upgrade over the BLONs in fit, accessories, soundstage, details, instrument separation and imaging. The mid-bass is north of neutral but isn’t at bona-fide basshead levels. The bass is unfortunately slow and hazy, with mediocre texturing. Mid-bass bleeds somewhat, but this adds to the heft in the lower midrange and can be a pro or con, depending on one’s preferences. The highs are reproduced in a clear and crisp manner. Treble reach, along with its decay, are both slightly above average. The highs give a very good amount of air and sense of space in the instruments, and also able to present minor details without difficulties. It's on the relaxed side, so it sounds very organic and natural, with a good impact and decent texture.
At this point, BLON, or WGZBLON, needs no introduction. Active since 2014, it is the brand responsible for creating one of the most famous Hypes of recent years: the BL-03. It is true that it is the Chinese brand of impossible shapes, heavy metallic constructions that attract a lot of attention and whose shapes are very committed to the fit and ergonomics of each enthusiast. Even so, BLON does not give up and continues to persist on this path, perpetuating its almost extravagant designs. As a further example, the current BL-Max possesses all these traits: it is relatively beautiful, metallic, heavy and with a design that makes it difficult to fit in my ears. With exceptional sound quality and an attractive design, it’s hard to imagine a better place to start your IEM journey.balanced tuning. Couldn't find a single genre which does not sound good with this IEM. It reminds me of the TinnHIFI P1 Max Panda (Planar), very similar tuning.
Build quality of the earpieces themselves is stellar. I’ve never seen such a sturdy build for an IEM in this price range. The finish on both the mirror and gun-metal finishes is almost flawless and feels nice, smooth and sturdy in the hand. Definitely not some cheap sprayed on finish. The earbuds themselves do have some weight to them as well. The BLON BL-03 are shaped like drops, with the summit hosting the 2-pin connector for the cable. The shells are entirely made of metal; they have a shiny, polished finish that make them appear chrome-plated. They’re basically chrome drops! They look oddly (and a bit unsettlingly) organic, as they only have curved lines and surfaces. I wouldn’t deem them out of place in a modern art museum (but that’s possibly also because of my poor understanding of modern art).
