About this deal

It is very wide, but I really enjoy that aspect of it because I can hear everything going on. In other words, the K702 absolutely never sounds muddy or congested in any way. Needs an amp - not on my iPhone SE 2022 and 2018 macbook pro, but yeah, i max out the volume on both.

The K712 is a close second, but I may not pay the asking price for it as it tends to be pretty steep. The K612 looks really nice with its colour accents. The picture above really doesn’t do it justice. It has the same typical construction the other headphones above show. The K612 is made of more luxurious materials and finish. Inside both boxes are the headphones, documentation (warranty / manual), and each cord has a 3.5-6.3mm screw on adaptor (fitted).

It also may just be my imagination, but I feel like the K612 is just a smidgen smaller in stature than the rest. The K612 is probably one of the underexposed headphones in the AKG line. The K612 is a good sounding headphone that may well best the K7** series. Comfort is quite good. ortho transplants: Fostex T40v1/Phiaton PS500, SFI-120/Sextett, Fostex T50rp/V-Moda Crossfade, Fostex T50rp/Beyer COP

Finally, and most importantly, the sound from them is unbelievable. Personally, I use these for when I'm playing my guitar through GarageBand on my computer. For me, they are the perfect headphones for such a task. Sound is crisp, clear and the bass is perfect on them. Not too much, not too little. I'm a 46 year old music lover. I don't say audiophile – I just love my music. Over the last couple of years, I have slowly changed from cheaper listening set-ups to my current entry/mid-fi set-up. I vary my listening from portable (i-devices) to my desk-top's set-up (PC > coax > NFB-12 > LD MKIV > HP).The K712’s mid-range sounds very good, but the gradual drop-off after 1kHz can be bothersome at times.

I'm using my AKG K612 PRO headphone with my Fiio X3 2nd Gen dedicated DAP. Currently I don't own any headphone amp but planning to buy an A5. I'm gonna update this review when I do. None of these headphones should really be pushed too hard, as they’ll kind of have a tough time keeping up. Resumiendo; que segun a que preco y estado se compre, puede merecer la pena; pero a precio "de mercado", no lo compraría ni loco después de ver los resultados.Over Ear Design, Dynamic Headphones, Breathable Velour Ear Pads, Self Adjusting Leather Headband, Computer Optimized Neodymium Magnets, Patented Varimotion Diaphragm Technology My source in testing is the 1/4inch headphone output of my TEAC UD-H01 DAC/Amp connected via USB to my Windows 8.1 desktop. I use the foobar2000 player with EQ off playing various files from FLAC to m4a to mp3 (VBR/CBR 320). In terms of sound signature preferences I like more mid centric headphones with tight, accurate bass (quality over quantity). I frequently have long listening sessions and I do get irritated by sibilance on certain bright headphones like the DT 990. I enjoy all genres of music spanning across many different era's. Enough about me, I've had this headphone for a few weeks now and after 50+ hours of burn in and constant use I am happy to share my experience. If it helps any, the 702 is my daily driver and is my favorite headphone to listen to. You already read the articles so that would be my personal recommendation. For your first pair, I can’t think of anything better except maybe a 6XX which is actually my top overall choice for newcomers to the hobby. It’s not really suited for gaming IMO as I prefer something more open like a 702.
